Birthday party, Baby shower party, Super bowl party..
Evite has almost replaced invitation cards for formal/casual parties..
However, over a period of time, avid net users found that Evite sucks, click here, or here, or here,
or here, or here or here, or here, or here to find out.
Until recently, EVite was the only free solution that let you send online-invites. Now, I think we have alternatives.
1) Socializr
Pretty similar to EVite but has lots of bells N whistles. The site lets you customize and enhance your event with extra features such as music, videos, and more. It even lets you create a chat session so you and your guests can discuss on the food menu etc and thus letting you avoid seeing lot of emails in your inbox.
More importantly, you don't need to create an account with them to create an event?
2) Phonevite - I LOVE this. You
record your invite on the website or through your phone by calling a
1-800 number. Then you put in your friends numbers, and the site auto
dials all of your friends and plays the message. What if your friends
don’t pick up strange 800 numbers? You can have the site use your
number on the caller ID when the invite calls go out. I think this is
so much more personal than a static evite page.
3) Mobaganda
Mobaganda is a simple way to plan parties, meetings, get-togethers,
conference calls, etc. and track who is coming, and who is not.
You do not need to register or login at any time. Mobaganda is like
Evite, without all the bloat, clutter and unnecessary crap.
It even has RSS feed with a dedicate URL for your event..
4) Enclude
Enclude is the online invitation and eCard web site that works the wayEvite has almost replaced invitation cards for formal/casual parties..
